We have a full line of manual and automatic strapping machines, steel and polyester plastic strapping machines for almost every industry. Our service department is dedicated to quick reaction and ensuring that your industrial packaging lines remain efficient and in tip-top shape. Our business model is built around the values of integrity, service, community, sustainability, and a sense of urgency when it comes to our customer’s needs.
Tradition &
History
Dixie Strapping and Twine was started in 1971 by Elmo Hindman and Harold C. Deifenderfer. Elmo was a Korean War US Navy veteran, and Harold C. “Duffy” Deifenderfer was a World War II airborne paratrooper. Having both worked at AJ Gerrard & Co, they had a good background with steel strapping but decided to try their talent at building a business which offered more. Duffy retired a few years later, and Elmo continued to build the business which filled a niche and offered packaging solutions to companies ranging from small sawmills to Fortune 500 companies.
The company was purchased in 2007 by Elmo’s son Cliff, a former US Air Force pilot who, flying the T-38 Talon, A-10 Warthog, and KC-135 Stratotanker, logged over 4500 military flying hours, including 689 combat hours. He continues to build the business dedicated to the core values of service and integrity.
